Typical of the type of Nguni Cow we select for showing excellent balance and character on a medium size body frame.                     Cows and Heifers are mated on the veldt and will during their lifetime receive only rock salt.   Good example of a two year old heifers just before calving.   Cows not calving every year and rearing a decent Calf will be culled.                     Cows calf in September and October and then spend 6 months along the river eating mainly reeds.                   Nguni Cows with typical hard Karoo veldt in the fore ground. In average years our aim is to wean Calves of 230kg plus, at six months with no licks or supplementary feeding. A Cow adapted to her environment with enough beef qualities is strongly sort after. We have been very fortunate to build up a polled genetic herd with outstanding Nguni qualities with high fertility and excellent calf growth.                     The quality of Bull Cow and Calf is obvious but we also expect early conception to keep inter calving periods as short as possible. Our Nguni's have good body structure and beef qualities but also excellent                                                                                                                                  udders and good teat placings for rapid calf growth.
